They are stored in the Thunderbird profile folder in sqlite database file: 'messagenotesplus.sqlite'

The answer refers to 'messagenotesplus.sqlite'
I do not appear to have this file. I do have a number of sqlite related files in Thunderbird profiles: global-messages-db.sqlite, cookies.sqlite, cookies.sqlite-journal, downloads.sqlite, permissions.sqlite, signons.sqlite, tbnotes.sqlite and urlclassifier2.sqlite.
Could it be one of these? I need to know because I want to do a clean reinstall but retain the notes.
Thanks for your help.

Hmm... you correctly identified the profile folder. Make sure that it's a profile of TB where the MNP is installed. Anyway you may simply run file search for the whole hard drive with a file name 'messagenotesplus.sqlite'. It should be somewhere, without this file the extension won't work.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Many thanks. It turns out that I have a few Thunderbird profile files. Some of them could probably be deleted but I had but perhaps I should leave things alone as it works as it is. At least I have now solved the problem. Thanks for the help.
