New note made old note disappear. How to get back?

bs27975
Hello.

I added a note to a message. Well enough.

I then did 'add note' again to add a 2nd note - egads! the prior note disappeared!

How do I see the prior note again?

(Even just to copy the text from it.)

Hi there,

If you do 'Add note' second time it replaces the first note. The first note cannot be restored.
It's impossible to add second note. To add text you should edit the first note.

I hope it helps,
Alex

Thanks.

Could I ask then ... check for a first note and if present don't add a
second? Or ... the presence of a note should disable the add note menu
item / refuse / whatever?

For some reason when I tried to edit the current note it wouldn't let me
so I hit add note again.

If I run into this again, I'll try and report back better specifics.

Thanks for getting back to me.

This would be reasonable improvement. But the priority of it is quite low, so I don't know when I'll be able to work on it.

This is a bug. Thanks for reporting. I think there was temporary hang up of Thunderbird when it stops responding and updating itself.
